Who are NTS?

NTS specialises in devising creative and innovative ways of helping people to learn and to meet their personal and professional development needs

Established in 1991 by Tim O'Connor, the company's early growth was through the provision of Leadership, Team working and Management development programmes to private sector clients principally in manufacturing and food processing industries. An early association with Spain led to a parallel operation being established in Madrid, now called Douglas McEncroe & Associados SL. We maintain that close link to this day.

In the mid 1990's, the establishment of partnerships with Lancaster and Warwick Universities led both to growth in turnover and to the enhancement of the company's academic credibility. In 1997, NTS was joined by a former Local Government Officer and this resulted in an increasing focus on the issues facing the public sector and in particular Government Modernisation.

 

By 1996 NTS had well established offices in Lancaster and in Oxfordshire.

A Board-level appointment in 2001 significantly increased the company's capability in research and consultancy activities, which are tightly integrated into our training work.

In 2001 a separate Vocational Training business was established which was then integrated into N.T.S. Ltd. in 2002. Through that operation we extended our range of services to include vocational qualifications in many fields. We also established 'Hands On Music' an Entry 2 Employment Government Funded programme, which has achieved notable success with re-engaging disaffected and disengaged Young Adults with education/employment.

A new office in London was established to service our southern programmes.
