Hands On Music

Music touches everyone in some way. This programme reaches out to young learners not achieving their full potential in school. Regardless of their musical talent, their ideas, passion and drive are channelled in such as way that they find themselves achieving learning goals they have set themselves

This is an engaging programme which can be run away from the school environment offering the opportunity to learn in an adult setting. Qualified tutors offer one to one support as well as delivering stimulating group sessions. Through engagement with music, participants rediscover feelings of self worth and success leading to their interest in learning being revitalised.

Learners create album covers, get involved in music production, music technology, professional concerts, keyboard skills, learning to play a musical instrument, song writing, MCing and rapping, all of which support literacy and numeracy embedded as it is into this music based training.

This programme delivers long term and sustained changes in the behaviour of the individuals who take part.
